LTG Holding Begins Development of Solar Power Plant Projects

In an effort to harness Georgia's renewable energy potential and advance power generation initiatives, LTG Holding has launched the development of three solar power plant projects in 2025, with plans for their future construction and operation. As part of this process, the company has applied to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia for a CFD tariff (Contract for Difference) under the Renewable Energy Support Mechanism to ensure the smooth progress of these projects.

The solar power plants will be located in two regions — Shida Kartli and Kvemo Kartli — known for having some of the highest solar irradiation levels in the country.

The Kvernaki and Plavi solar power plants, both situated in Shida Kartli, will have a combined installed capacity (DC) of 14 megawatts and are expected to generate an average of 20.43 million kilowatt-hours annually.

The Imera Solar Power Plant, located in Kvemo Kartli, will have an installed capacity (DC) of 12 megawatts and an expected annual output of 15.22 million kilowatt-hours.

All three projects have already received technical conditions for connection to the distribution network and are currently undergoing feasibility studies.

The active construction phase is scheduled to begin in fall 2025.

LTG Holding remains committed to the sustainable development of Georgia’s energy sector and continues to pursue energy projects in various fields, both independently and in collaboration with international partners.
